- Wanna Be In "New Moon"? Get Your Headshots Ready. Hot off the heels of New Moon casting rumors—which include, er, The JoBros—comes information for us Regular Janes and Joes to get in on the acting action. Have you ever dreamed of being Girl Who Orders Vegetarian Salad At Diner? Here's your chance!
Over the past couple weeks, we've read some crazy reports from various New Moon extras castings all around the country and Canada. For example, in Vancouver, when hundreds of aspiring background players were turned away from auditioning, the brokenhearted crowd nearly revolted. Despite some traveling all the way from Florida, those who didn't make the cut were left crying, hurling accusations of line cutting and body-slamming the lucky ones who made it inside Second Avenue Studios.
Okay, we're still waiting for confirmation on the whole "body-slamming" thing, but the other stuff seemed to really happen. Goodness knows what we can expect from future open calls in Phoenix, Los Angeles and Italy. For those who are adament on trying out, we recommend the following survival kit: camping equipment, blankets, food, Kleenex and a gas mask—you know, just in case people get rowdy and the police try to pepper spray your ass.
In other New Moon news, we also heard that the third book in the Twilight series, Eclipse, might be filming back-to-back with New Moon. Production details are still scarce, but we were able to uncover the following tip: According to TwilightPoison.com, Edward Cullen & Co. might be invading Vancouver as soon as March.According to BC Film Comission, there’s a movie identified as “Untitled Sports movie” scheduled to start filming in March 23 in Canada. Why do we think it’s New Moon? Because the the person listed as director is Chris Weitz:
Chris Weitz has no credits listed on his IMDB.com profile after directing New Moon, so you do the math. The film is also slated to film in Los Angeles and Rome, Italy, but no dates have been released yet. As per usual, stay tuned to Buzznet to meet all your Twilight needs.Volterra FM Productions Canada Inc
